Sunday morning rundown


*Lance Armstrong's Astana teammate Alberto Contador took stage 15 in the Alps, while Lance was over a minute back finishing 9th in the stage but rising to second overall behind Contador. (ESPN)

*Saturday night MLB scoreboard. In the Padres 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies Edgar Martinez was hit in the head with a pitch. He laid on the field for several minutes before being carted off. Edgar's brother All-Star first baseman Adrian Gonzalez was taken out of the game to be with his brother. (AP)

*Former Cal State Fullerton player Jon Wilhite threw out the first pitch at yesterdays Angels game. He's was in the car the night Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed by a motorist who was drunk. He continues to battle his way back from a severing his spine from his skull he suffered in the crash. (LA Times) (MLB.com)

*USA Soccer continues it's recent winning ways with a 2-1 win in extra-time over Panama in the Gold Cup quarterfinals. (Daily News)
