Friday rundown


*Mike Vick to the Eagles, this came out of no where yesterday evening. Should be interesting to see how he fits in with Donovan McNabb who says he lobbied for the signing of Vick. Can't see Vick competing for the QB job much at all, he'll probably be use in special sets. (Philadelphia Inquirer) (Atlanta Journal-Constitution) Vick and the Eagles will hold a press conference at 11 A.M. to announce the signing.

*Eli Manning finally signed his extension today. (The Sports Network)

*Steve Smith surprised everyone and was back on the field at practice this morning for the Panthers. (ESPN)

*Patriots took down the Eagles last night 27-25 in Tom Brady's first action since tearing up his knee in the opener last year. (Boston Globe)
